West Wichita Braces

Traditional braces are one of the most efficient orthodontic tools we have. The metal or ceramic brackets are attached to the teeth, then connected by wires and tiny rubber bands or elastics.

Through regular adjustments with Dr. Ken Dillehay and Dr. JK Dillehay, these brackets, wires, and bands work together to apply the gentle pressure that will gradually move the teeth into the desired positions.

East Wichita braces are excellent for correcting tooth issues from simple to complex. Because they can sometimes work faster at closing gaps and aligning teeth than other options, overall treatment time may be slightly reduced.

In addition, braces don’t require some of the more complicated technology or expensive equipment that newer treatments can, making East Wichita braces a cost-effective orthodontic option for patients on a budget.

West Wichita Clear Aligners

Rather than brackets and bands, the East Wichita clear aligners uses a series of clear, removable trays to move the teeth into alignment. Clear aligners are incredibly popular with Wichita patients and orthodontists and are the top alternative to traditional braces at Dillehay Orthodontics.

Clear aligners are made of a comfortable plastic material and designed to fit snugly over the teeth. The nearly invisible trays are usually switched out every one to two weeks for the next in the series to keep the teeth moving in the direction we want them to. Aligners should be worn 20-22 hours per day throughout treatment.

Clarity 3M and Simply Clear aligners can only work if you closely follow the guidelines from Dillehay Orthodontics. Neglecting to wear your aligners as directed can impede the results and add time to the orthodontic process.
